Meet the Team
Frank X. DarConte, Ph.D., AIA is a licensed architect in New York State and an experienced leader within all phases of construction project delivery. Throughout his 40-year industry career, Dr. DarConte has progressed through a series of positions including project field superintendent, project manager, and project executive which has informed his ability to consistently deliver highly successful complex capital projects.
Dr. DarConte holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and degrees in architecture from Pratt Institute and NYIT. He currently serves as a faculty member in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering, Department of Civil and Urban Engineering where he teaches the capstone course for the graduate construction management program. Dr. DarConte also serves as a Principal Investigator and research professor with the department's C2SMART Transportation Research Center.
His research interests are focused on construction engineering, project delivery, and the building of high-performance teams where his project delivery and team alignment models have been utilized by private and public owners including the State University Construction Fund, the USTA-National Tennis Center, and the MTA - LIRR. Dr. DarConte has held board positions with the Associated General Contractors of New York State, the Society of American Military Engineers, and the Hughes Energy Group.
